What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

We encourage all customers to call two or three fencing contactors. When interviewing your potential contractor, look to make sure he is listening to your needs and offering solutions that correct your specific problem. It’s important to feel comfortable that you have clear communication with your contractor throughout the project, that you be confident in his or her work and, most importantly, that can trust your contractor.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 16 years’ experience in the lawncare and fencing industry.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with customers of different ethnicities as well as social statuses. I’ve worked with individuals and businesses. I’m looking forward to working with YOU!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to speak with and visit my new customers so that I can know exactly what they want and to ensure we’re working together. I don’t want to just do lawn care or erect a great-looking fence - I want to build relationships with my customers.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started doing this type of work after being laid off. I was not looking forward to working for another company and thought I might like working for myself (I’m a great boss!). After talking with another friend who had been doing this type work, he encouraged me to give it a try. I gave my dream feet and it took wing. Now, over ten years later, I’m glad I took the chance. It’s been a rewarding decade, personally and professionally.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am proud of every job completed, but of course there are some special ones that are simply unforgettable. One of those was working with a client in Fort Worth who had experienced a sudden tragedy. We performed a total backyard renovation for her – replacing over 260 feet of fencing, a complete resodding, installation of shrubbery and landscaping and completion of a paver walkway. We completed the job within the time we were allotted (XXX days/weeks). The gratitude she displayed at the renovation results was fulfilling. It’s really why I do this job.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

There are always contractors that will do a job very cheaply, and there are those that are potentially overpriced. My prices may not be the lowest, but you can count on getting high quality work and value for what you pay. My aim is to leave you satisfied – not only with the finished job, but the price you pay.
