Axton’s Bass City has been a Lake Fork institution for almost 50 years.

From the moment you drive in, you’ll notice the changes. The 30-room motel and four duplex rooms and one executive suite have all been gutted and remodeled with new flooring, fixtures, furniture, and linens. The diner has been updated and boasts the best burgers on Lake Fork. Get gas for the boat, tackle and even a fishing license at the convenience store and head on out to catch bass, crappie, and catfish.

Meet the Owners

Allen and Sarah Sheehan are the new owners of Axton’s Bass City. To them, Axton’s is more than an investment - it’s a great way to escape the hustle of the city, and take life at a slower pace. And owning Axton’s is like a dream come true. You will often find Allen, Sarah and their two boys out on the docks fishing for crappie and bass, enjoying a burger in the diner or simply watching the sunset from a comfortable lounge chair.

Mascha Taylor is the on-site property manager at Axton’s Bass City. A country girl at heart, there’s nothing Mascha loves more than making each and every guest feel welcome and important.  Whatever your needs are, Mascha and her staff are here to make your stay as fun and memorable as possible.
